About our foundation
We Are In A Mission To Help Helpless
Community Development Foundation Nepal (CDF Nepal) was
established in April 2011 by a group of professionals and
representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
working in various fields of community development. CDF
Nepal’s work is focused on areas such as education and health
care.
It is registered with the Kathmandu District Office
(Certificate number 1071), Government of Nepal (Certificate
number 1043) as a non-profit making and non-political NGO as
per the Organization Registration Act of 2034 B.S. (1978). It
is also affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC
certificate number 32555), the apex body of national and
international NGOs working in Nepal.
CDF Nepal is membership-based organization and until this
date, more than 10 organizations have received its membership.
CDF Nepal also coordinates and cooperates with local citizens,
individuals or groups, national and international agencies and
helps to implement various programs for developing communities
in Nepal with regards to their education and health care.
CDF Nepal seeks to create social and economic benefits by
partnering with various communities and raise awareness for
education, their health care and environmental issues. We
welcome tourists interested in volunteering, e.g. by teaching
in primary or high schools or helping to address healthcare
needs in the remote communities of Nuwakot district alongside
local residents.
We strongly believe that the power of this work inspires
cross-cultural understanding and raises the level of education
and health care. We have already promoted programs in Kalche
Sunkhani and Gidane village of Sindupalchowk district and have
also expanded help to other villages.
